Back in 2005, we hand selected for processing 66 head of cattle from a certified organic farm in far north Queensland. The output was tender, flavoursome high quality Beef – and our customers loved it! Demand for our organic Beef grew rapidly from day one and in 2008 we began producing organic Lamb. Under the then, The Organic Meat Company brand, we were soon the largest organic meat processor in Australia.
Growing up on cattle and sheep stations in Queensland, I was aware that the owners of these farms raised their cattle and sheep in a natural way. Identifying a growing global demand for grass-fed organic meat, and undersupplied markets, I saw a immense opportunity for these Australian farmers who were already producing their livestock in accord with nature.

In 2012 The Organic Meat Company joined forces with Cleaver’s Organic Meat, to form Arcadian Organic & Natural Meat Co., and in doing so aligned two of the biggest certified organic meat business in Australia. Today Arcadian Organic boasts the largest certified organic producer network in Australia, which together with our sophisticated processing systems and advanced supply chains allow us to supply a truly global market.
Driven by increasing global demand for grass-fed organic meat and growing consumer appreciation for food provenance our business continues to grow. Our philosophy of sourcing only the purest, most organically sound product, provides our customers with the assurances they seek in their meat choices. As a business we are driven by a commitment to Australian family farming, the safeguarding of our environment and the wellbeing of future generations.
Today we employ over sixty people spread between our offices in Toowoomba and Sydney and our packing plant in Gosford. It is our goal, together with the farmers who rise each morning to put nutritious natural food on our customers’ plates, to make a positive difference in the world, one season at a time.
