Serving up gourmet grass-fed beef or lamb recipes at home for dinner is a great way to nourish your family, but sometimes a night out at a restaurant is what you need to take a break from the kitchen, relax, or celebrate a special occasion.

However, dining out doesn’t mean you have to give up your yummy organic meat – there are plenty of restaurants that offer quality organic produce.

Here are some of the best Aussie restaurants – all with organic and grass-fed meat on the menu!

Mumu Grill, Sydney

Located in Crows Nest, this classy restaurant is the only steakhouse in Sydney that serves 100 per cent grass-fed beef. On top of serving up a fantastic juicy steak, Mumu Grill’s other ingredients are all either organic or sustainable, meaning you’re in for a scrumptious and guilt-free experience. Menu options include Szechuan pepper crusted King Island prime rib, Tasmanian Angus rump and twice cooked duck with bok choy and poached pear.

Black Cow Bistro, Tasmania

This self-confessed ‘upmarket’ steakhouse located in Launceston is perfect for those looking for delicious dishes that also consider animal welfare, great taste and great quality. The beef is farmed locally, and is entirely grass-fed, free range, and free of artificial hormones and additives. Try a classic rump steak or scotch fillet matched with a local wine for good measure.

Agape Organic Restaurant and Bar, Sydney

This sumptuous restaurant goes all the way in terms of organic produce, with every item – even the wine – made from organic, locally sourced produce. Opt for the grass fed wagyu organic sirloin with mushrooms, or branch out a little and enjoy a fillet of Marlborough king salmon. Finish off with a delectable organic dessert, such as meringue with a selection of four berries and yoghurt sorbet, or a peanut butter and chocolate ‘pizza’ with vanilla ice cream and cashew nut praline.
